The Experience

Every seat at our chef's table comes with two views: the kitchen right in front of you and the Dubai skyline beyond it. Across twelve courses, Chef Solemann tells his story of this city, drawing on the flavours and traditions of Dubai, the wider Middle East and the many cultures that have shaped it, all given the full rigour of fine dining. Every dish is cooked, plated and finished before your eyes, and the team guides you through each one as it arrives. It's intimate but never precious, bold, creative and a little playful. This is Dubai, served one course at a time.

The Menu

Our menu starts with a simple rule: the highest quality ingredients, and local first. We work closely with the region's farms, mills and markets, and look beyond our borders only when someone else does it better. Those ingredients meet the spice, smoke, sweetness and acidity of Emirati and Middle Eastern cooking, and a little of every culture that calls Dubai home. When it comes to changing the menu, think of it like a band on tour: the setlist evolves one dish at a time, but the classics stay, kept for the guests who have been with us from the start and played just the way you remember.

The Team

Behind every evening at Moonrise is a team of 17 from 12 different countries, each bringing their own background and their own way of making guests feel welcome. We're a small team by choice, and no one here simply fills a role. From the chef who plates your courses to the sommelier who pours your wine, everyone plays a part in your evening. Much like the city itself, Moonrise works because of the people in it, and every one of us is here to make sure your night with us is one you won't forget.

The Space

The dining rooms details are chosen with the region in mind. 15 seats centered around a palm wood table, a nod to the tree that has shaped life here for centuries, set against marble that echoes the soft tones of the desert. With only fifteen seats gathered around the kitchen, it feels less like a restaurant and more like a private dining room, with the lights of Dubai glowing beyond the glass.

The View

We'd love to tell you the open kitchen is the best view in the house, but Dubai makes that a hard argument to win. Moonrise sits high above Al Satwa, and from up here, the city unfolds in every direction. Arrive as the sun goes down and you'll watch the skyline turn from gold to deep blue as the towers light up one by one. By the time dinner is in full swing, the city is glittering below, busy and bright, while inside everything slows down. And on the right night, if you glance up at just the right moment, you might even catch the moon rising over it all.
