Moonrise is an Omakase restaurant located on the rooftop of Eden House, a luxury residential tower on Sheikh Zayed Road in Dubai. Led by Solemann Haddad, it is a 12-seater dining experience that focuses on shining the spotlight on the diversity of ingredients & culinary stories that this region has to offer.
We focus on serving constantly evolving multi-course menus in which we draw inspiration from Middle Eastern & Japanese ingredients, techniques & food cultures to tell our story & the story of Dubai through food.
Our experience is served in a chef’s table format, where you would be seated on a counter just inches away from the open kitchen where Solemann Haddad & his chefs will prepare & guide you through each of your courses. All the while being surrounded by the theatrical backdrop of Dubai’s beautiful cityscape.
Solemann Haddad the recipient the 2022 MICHELIN Dubai Young Chef Award, & the 2022 Gault & Millau Future Great of the Year Award, Solemann is Dubai’s youngest Chef Patron at just 27 years of age. In 2023, he has been awarded a Michelin Star for Moonrise, Two Toques by Gault & Millau, as well as What's On Chef of the Year 2023.
His cuisine primarily focuses on the use of Japanese & Middle Eastern techniques & ingredients to tell his story of growing up in & around Dubai - a cuisine which he’s dubbed as ‘Dubai Cuisine’.
In the process of telling the story of Dubai through his dishes, Solemann also shares the story of many others in the industry by focusing heavily on supporting & working with many of the UAE’s homegrown artisans, organic growers, mills, & suppliers. His sourcing philosophy is simple: keep things homegrown by showcasing the diversity of ingredients that this region has to offer, & fill in the gaps with the best from around the world.
